1st Vacation to Sunny California!

Ryo's 1st vacation to sunny California. San Diego LA. Grandpa and Grandma baby-sits. Visit to Uncle Roger, Aunt Joan, Craig, Judy and Clark Ishihara. Visit to see Jon Lai in Monterrey Park.

Ryo - 7 months

Ryo at 7 months, "look Mama, I'm standing." Visits by Ai, Yuen and Tae family.

Ryo - 6+ months

Ryo is standing on his own and trying to crawl! He enjoys walks to the park and visits from the grandparents, Auntie Saki, Eunyong, Yuki and Kyoko.

Ryo - 6 months old

Ryo turn's 6 months old and hangs out at FMYI party, is visited by the Hatch's and plays with Cross girls.

Ryo - 24-25 Weeks, first solid foods eaten

Ryo at 24-25 weeks old, and this is the first time he eats solids!! He loves it!

Ryo - 23 weeks old

Ryo at 23 weeks old, visit to see Elise and Emma Song. And visits by the grand parents.

Ryo - 5 months old

Ryo at five months old, visit by O-mama. This week it was 110 degrees in Beaverton, thank goodness for A/C!

Ryo - 20-21 weeks

Ryo at 20-21 weeks. Visits by Grandpa and Grandma, EunYoung and Ryo get his second haircut by Ba.

Ryo - 19 weeks

Ryo at 19 weeks. Visits to Barry & Jody's in Camano Island for Grandma Uchida's 83th Birthday.

Ryo - 4 months old

James Ryoichi Ishihara (涼一 石原) Name

So how did we come up with James Ryoichi Ishihara (涼一 石原) name?
James is Grandpa Ishihara's first name. It is also father's first name, although father goes by his middle name Alec. Hence, why Ryo will go by his middle nickname, instead of James the Third :)
Ryo means refreshing. Ichi means first son.

Auntie Dar Shimizu hosted the family baby shower at their house in Seattle on 1/7/06. Joori Kim hosted family and friends at their house in Portland on 1/21/06.

James Ryoichi (Ryo) Ishihara

At 5:30 pm on Sunday, February 19, our little baby boy joined us. Ryo weighed six pounds, five ounces and measured 19.0 inches long. Aya had a clockwork delivery, first experiencing contractions at 3:30 am. We went to the hospital at 9:30 am, checked in and she was 4 cm dialated, then proceeded to the delivery room at 12:30 pm. At 4:30 pm, Aya began labor and within an hour baby Ryo was born!
